I grew up in the area and attended local schools. Previously I worked for Children’s Services in various roles including setting up a parent and child group on a local Gypsy and Traveller site, which I enjoyed immensely. I also worked for MIND and Rethink mental health charities and feel passionate about breaking down stigma and discrimination. I joined the Families Matter team in 2004. I live in the Waterside area and have three children of my own so understand the challenges of being a parent. I am committed to supporting families and empowering people to reach their full potential. |
I have a BSc (Hons) in Health & Social Care from Southampton University. I maintain my professional development, having completed other courses including:

- Supervision of staff
- Networking with partners

- Setting the vision for the ongoing work of the project in consultation with the Trustees
