Course Contents

  • A positive approach to parenting young children. What Children Really need. Helping children feel secure, valued, confident, loved, and good about themselves.
  • Developing Emotional Security. The ‘Feel Good Factor', developing children's self-esteem, and handling emotions.
  • Setting Loving Limits. Encouraging positive behaviour, setting boundaries, learning new strategies, the importance of consistency, and promoting responsibility and independence.
  • Keeping Safe. Assessing risks, bullying, stranger-danger, sex education, and unsupervised play.
  • Problem Solving. Practical problem solving, Parents feedback, and summary of sessions.

Come along and meet other Parents for mutual support in an informal and friendly environment.
