Our aim is to transform lives by providing practical and emotional support to families throughout the Hythe & Waterside area.
Families Matter was formed in 1997 as part of Hythe United Reformed Church outreach programme and became a charity in 2002.
Being a parent can be both rewarding and demanding. Our courses are here to support you and help you build a strong and secure relationship with your child, whatever their age. From anger management help, to guidance for those with challenging teenagers, we’re here to help you grow as a parent.
Our successful schools programme helps junior age children transition into senior school. Big changes can cause different anxieties and worries, so we support them through this adaptation period, making sure their experience is as smooth as possible.

Our time is a support group for families of those struggling from addiction. We meet once a month by invitation only. Please contact Madeline on 023 8087 3388 or Ann on 07921 077407 for more details.

Our autism drop-in meets on the second Thursday of each month from 10:00 - 11:30. We welcome all parents of children with ASD to join us at the church. Please get in contact for more details.

Our women's wellbeing group meets every Friday during term time. 9:30 - 11:30 at Hythe URC.
Meet the team.
